Yield component Responses to different Planting methods in Fonio under rain fed conditions

Abstract
 Fonio respond differently at different sowing conditions. Field experiment was conducted to assess the of fonio grain yield and its components when subjected seeding methods under rainfed condition during growing season 2021 2022. The Randomized complete block design with three replications adopted for experiment. result revealed that planting (dibbling, drilling broadcasting transplanting) used had significant effect on all yield. Transplanting a clear lead an average number tillers per plant 13.8 surpassing dibbling whose no difference 5% probability level. In days maturity, transplanted crops takes longer (115.1) reach 50% flowering. However, appears mature earlier transplanting are adopted. Taller plants, spikes, panicles, higher were observed method applied in field cultivation. Therefore, could be recommended increased tillers, spikes condition.
